Vancouver BC in the summertime is beautiful and when the weather gets hot you don't have to leave the city to enjoy a day at the beach. There's plenty of nice beaches around the city and Sunset Beach is one of the most central ones. By the inlet to False Creek close to the Burrard Bridge you'll find your spot in the sun, perhaps while resting your back to the timber spread out in the sand.
