2025 Howard Charter Day Honoree Sunny Sumter considers herself a jazz champion and is making sure that jazz is at the table with every other art form.
As CEO of the DC Jazz Festival, accomplished vocalist and arts advocate, Sumter now becomes a recipient of Howard University’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Postgraduate Achievement.
