Sensien is an enigma! A fabulous supporter of the live-streaming synth and music community, he's often to be found in the chat of mine and many other sonic streams, dropping the knowledge and spreading the love in equal measure. But does anyone really know who he is?
It turns out that Sensien is the alter-ego of Mark Hakonen-Meddings, the driving force behind Holonic Systems and their midi-mangling, mind-bending musical interfaces and tactile tech, currently poised to explode and push the new generation of MIDI 2.0 synthesis to it's outer limits.
Think controlling your keyboard from the weather: real wind playing synthetic wind chimes. Think artists triggering drums and filter-sweeps from the movement of the crowd. Think environmental triggers like quiet breathing or crazy morning traffic as generators for sound: chilled-out ambience to chaotic carnage.
It's yet another of the greatest ideas I've never heard of, so Mark's on the livestream this Sunday to tell all. Plus, as always, nine year-old Loullamae's epic 'Best Quiz On The Internet' - likely Halloween themed but she hasn't told me the questions yet.
