A Sun Dog is a rare optical phenomenon, a type of a halo around the Sun, that creates bright spots on both sides of the Sun.
These appear when ice crystals in the atmosphere, align horizontally. Sun Dogs can occur in any weather, but have been observed more in cooler climates.
Formed at 22 degrees on the either side, these are clearer when Sun is closer the horizon.
