(UPDATE: Aug. 8 @ 8:15 am) - The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) has provided an updated size estimate for the Bald Range wildfire Saturday morning.
It's now an estimated 9,500 hectares as it continued to grow overnight, even in calmer conditions. Nowlin Kazimir, who was in town helping evacuate animals, reported around 2:30 am that the fire had moved into the community of Summerland.
