In the easy steps in this beginner online art video, you'll learn acrylic painting techniques on how to paint acrylics on canvas, how to draw and paint a peacock with long flowing tail feathers, a colorful head and dimension in the wings, neck, face and plumage, how to paint loose impressionistic flowers, palm trees and palm fronds, beach, sand, waves, and clouds, and sun glowing through the trees. Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #8 round synthetic, #3 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, burnt umber (brown), magenta, deep yellow, ultramarine blue, phthalo green, and mars black
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat on canvas with white, blue, green, brown
2. 3/4 inch bristle brush – Paint sky with blue, light blue (made in step 1), beige (made in step 1), white, brown
3. 3/4 inch bristle brush -- Finish water and beach with brown, green, blue, light blue, beige, white
4. Chalk -- Draw outline for peacock
5. #8 round and 3/4 inch bristle brushes – Paint base coat for bird, flowers and palm fronds with blue, magenta, green, yellow, beige, brown
6. #2 round brush – Paint palm fronds with emerald green (made in step 5), yellow, brown, white
7. #2 round brush – Finish head with blue, green, white, black, brown and light yellow (made in step 6)
8. #8 round brush -- Paint 1st step to feather eyes and flowers with light yellow, magenta, white, blue
9. #2 round brush – Finish bird's body with black, brown, magenta, light yellow, white, beige
10. #8 round brush - Paint shadows with brown, beige, black
11. #8 round brush – Paint 2nd step to tail feathers with black, green, blue, magenta, brown
