I was incredibly lucky this year and landed myself an internship with California sea lions at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. I grew up going to Mystic and Mystic is why I want to work with marine mammals, so I was beyond excited when I heard I was offered the internship! I just finished the internship a few days ago, and true to form I decided to make a video to showcase the amazing (and adorable) animals I had the privilege of getting to work with this summer. Absolutely nothing feels better than getting to live the dream you have had since you were a child, and this internship taught me so much more than I could have ever imagined. I will never be able to thank the staff and animals enough for all they did for me this summer to help kickstart my career in the animal training field, as well as give me valuable life advice and lessons I will be sure to carry with me throughout the rest of my career and life. So once again, thank you to every single person (and animal) I was lucky enough to work with this summer. You were all amazing and I won't forget you or this incredible opportunity any time soon!
