This is actually an older track from last fall that I recorded, got busy, and never bothered to post. It takes about a minute before it really gets started, but I promise it's worth the wait! It is also my first attempt at Buchla bongos, and although I have lots more experience creating this type of sound now, I still like what I got out of this patch, in which I control the 1V/octave input of both oscillators used for the "bongo" sounds with 2 different sequencers, set to a different number of steps. I also use the function generators to create the different swing and straight rhythms. I have been teaching jazz and music theory at summer music camp all week, and I think missing time with my new modular setup made me think of this video that I forgot to post. I hope you enjoy!
