The history of the Dunan region. From the foundation of the Dunan Monarchy, to the establishment of the City States of Jowston, the formation of the Highland Kingdom, and the many wars that took place between the City-States and Highland, and the City-States and the Scarlet Moon Empire.
This video covers the entire known history of the Dunan region leading up to the events of Suikoden 2.
The battles shown in the video are primarily for reference and not actual depictions of how the battles played out, as the exact movement of generals and their troops is unknown.
Maps are rough estimates that I constructed based off of the tiny breadcrumbs of information available for early time periods.
