Sugar, Sorry follows a Filipina-American girl across two pivotal moments in her life: navigating the awkward world of suburban Sunday school as a child and meeting her white boyfriend’s parents as a teenager. Through humor, heartbreak, and uncomfortable truths, she confronts questions of identity, belonging, family, and self-worth.
Blending sharp comedy with emotional honesty, Sugar, Sorry is a coming-of-age story about growing up between cultures, learning to embrace who you are, and finding acceptance in places where it isn’t always freely given.
