| Back in the early days of the North Western, Sir Topham Hatt I loaned many engines from various railways way before the big four, two of these were from the Furness Railway. One was a K2, the other a D5 with an added pony truck to โimprove traction around curvesโ. These two got along just fine until more bigger, stronger engines arrived.
