Aliens vs Predator 2 single player custom map titled "Subway Redux". This is version 1.1 of the map.

Map review:

Subway Redux is a very faithful recreation of the original AvP classic multiplayer map by Rebellion. Like many other single player maps made by Windebieste, Subway Redux is a skirmish map and has the player surviving against endless hordes of aliens. The difficulty is fairly low when compared to many of the authors other skirmish maps, unless you come across a facehugger or get cornered inside the main building. Some areas of the building are actually inaccessible to the npc aliens, which allows the player to survive indefinitely. In my playthrough I chose to keep moving even though I could have permanently stopped at the computer area/front desk for safety.

Overall this is a fun map and definitely worth playing.

Note: I'm using some HD textures via Yaji's High Quality Resolution Textures v2 and my Blood n' Guts mod for the gore.

$DM_BW_Mayhem2 - AvP2 Custom Map (Complete Playthrough) Aliens vs Predator 2 single player custom map titled DM_BW_Mayhem2 aka DM BW Mayhem 2. Map author: {BW} Netrider. Map review: Mayhem 2 is the second of three Mayhem maps by {BW} Netrider. This map was originally a multiplayer map that I republished as a single player map in Happy Hunting Map Pack as it played fine in single player. The map is a rework of dm_leadworks. The layout is mostly the same except that the starting area is a giant room with a re-textured dropship. As the player enters the leadworks area via the corridors, the entire leadworks section is retextured into an alien hive. Throughout the entire map are what feels like hundreds of alien, mainly drones and runners but also a few facehuggers. The alien npcs tend to attack the player in groups. They dont present much difficulty to the player because the ammo and health power ups are plenty if the player keeps visiting the ammo boxes. However, the facehuggers are very difficult to deal with. The player doesnt have a lot of weapons available in the single player version, so caution must be taken with the facehuggers. It should be noted that the alien npcs are a bit buggy in that many of the drones and runners do not fully animate properly on the map. However, this doesnt prevent them from attacking the player. The objective for the player is to eliminate all the aliens. Two of the aliens are stuck behind the walls on the upper level. Use cheat mpsixthsense to get to them. Once all the aliens are defeated, there is nothing left to do on the map. Even though the aliens are a bit buggy on this map, its still a lot of fun to play. This map is recommended.
