Even though our babies can’t talk, there are lots of newborn baby cues that help us understand how they’re feeling and what they need. But as new parents it is very hard to know what our babies are trying to tell us if we don’t understand what these subtle facial and body cues are!

In this video we will cover newborn tired cues, newborn hunger cues and cues newborns give when they are ready to play or need a break. Once you learn to read and understand these baby cues, caring for a newborn becomes significantly easier. Correctly responding to your baby's cues also helps to strengthen the relationship between you and your baby. A strong relationship with you is vital to your baby’s social and emotional development. In fact, research has found that newborns who had parents who correctly interpreted their baby cues, cried less and were more confident in their interactions with others.
