In which the team watches chilling footage of the government's evil covert actions and Sonic destroys a surveillance camera. This, of course, does not make much sense. The fact that the display completely shut off after Sonic destroyed that one camera raises lots of questions. How and why would a surveillance system designed by multiple scientists with genius-level IQs function in that manner? If there were multiple cameras that tracked Sonic and Shadow's movements along that pathway, why did the display go out when only one of them was destroyed? What possible advantage could there be in designing the circuitry like Christmas tree lights? If there were even a minuscule mechanical error in any of them, the entire system would have to be shut down for maintenance! Naturally, the alternative answer would be that there was only one camera along that route, which tracked Sonic and Shadow's movements at hyperspeed, locking onto and following them as they travelled. Therefore, when Sonic destroyed it, no more surveillance footage of that area would be able to be recorded. But then, one must question the existence of a simple security camera that is able to keep up with the quote unquote "fastest thing alive". How is Doctor Eggman under any threat from Sonic at all? If he can design a CCTV camera with the capability to travel at the same velocity as his supposedly super-speedy adversary, why does he not apply that technology to a special brand of robot, and then mass-produce them? He would be able to dispatch Sonic with ease! Also, what's going on with the design of the ship? The pathway to the core of the colony apparently seems to consist of lots of long corridors and passageways. Surely when one's enemy is a creature capable of moving at incredible speed, it would be more advantageous to create a much more winding pathway towards the central power source, so as to slow him down considerably? And what about...
