Some raw footage of Mark Higgins driving the Subaru WRX STI TT Attack car during his record breaking lap of the Isle of Man TT circuit. His record is now 128.730 mph average speed; 17 min 35.139 for the 37.73 mile course. A fully edited lap will be available in due course.
The car was specifically developed by Prodrive for this record attempt for the unique challenges it poses on the chassis, engine and aero. The car has a DRS (Drag reduction system) on the rear wing to help increase top speed on the straighter sections where extra downforce and grip is not required. It also has a turbo-charged 2 litre flat four boxer engine which can produce up to 600bhp
