The psalmist has said that he “had not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” and in the deepest needs of this life, that is certainly true but all of us have known people of integrity who have not prospered.Therefore, I will not follow Christ for promised freedom from physical want or hope of affluence.I’m not sure that Christians have stronger personalities or fewer neuroses than non-believers. I do know that there is no bitterness like religious bitterness and no arrogance more insufferable. I have watched Christians suffer emotional and mental disabilities and though it may seem heretical, I am not sure that I would really enjoy living in the same house with either the Apostle Peter or Paul.God wills that the mind of Christ be formed in us and there is no doubt in my mind that the Christian’s attitudes and actions will be improved by his Christianity, but I will not follow Christ for any promise of personality enhancement or perfection.Why then follow Christ? Why become a disciple of Jesus when life may become more complicated as He so often warned?For one reason alone: in Jesus we behold the face of God. He is the truth, the everlasting truth, God in the flesh. I know that in His life, death, and resurrection, I am reconciled to God, the giver of life.I believe that nothing can separate us from the love of God. He has all power and goodness and I trust Him and His promises. To him, I offer my life, damaged or whole, brief or full of years. It matters not. He is the one certain thing in an uncertain world. He is to be worshiped, not so something will happen to me or to the world. Something already has happened to me and the world, but because He is God who, through Christ, has reconciled the world to Himself. He saves me. He is my justification. He is the center that holds. To worship the God of our salvation, to offer sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving; that alone is our vocation. We offer our lives to God, not so as to be healthy, wealthy, or wise, not even so to gain the strength to do great things for Him; we offer our lives to Him because He alone has claim upon us. In God's Providence and arguably in His judgment upon them and their followers (if they continue) for their hypocrisy, the reformed camp, and many who are connected to John MacAthur, have become the unofficial spokesmen for all things "discernment". Those like: Justin Peters, Phil Johnson of Grace to You, Todd Friel of Wretched Radio, Chris Rosebrough of Fighting for the Faith, The Bible Thumping Wingnut an others, have formed a network of deceit whereby they speak of discerning truth from error while actively dealing deathblows to discernment for the sake of self-preservation and self-advancement. They are storing up judgment for themselves, and if you do not depart their company (even virtually) you will find yourself corrupted by their bad company and receiving of their plagues as well.After their friend and ministry partner JD Hall was recently (and unsurprisingly) found to be a drug addict, embezzler, wife-beater and child abuser, all of these men went to great lengths to protect themselves by obfuscating, gaslighting and covering up the grievous abuses of their long-time friend. JD Hall has since been kicked out of the "church" he once deceived due to his failure to repent of his abuses and deceptions. He remains defiant in the face of some of the worst sins imaginable. None of these men have addressed any of these updates. While this affords a clear window into their corruption, it is actually MUCH deeper as I have been warning for quite some time. When their friends commit atrocious and gut-wrenching evil, they look the other way, unless they are forced to do some kind of damage control for PR reasons. Yet they spend their time critiquing those who aren't their friends as though they were modern-day prophets. In a sense, they are modern-day prophets; modern-day FALSE PROPHETS. Every false prophet thinks he is a true prophet and purports to be so. Jesus said of them, "You will know them by their fruits.... a bad tree bears bad fruit." (Matthew 7:15-20). These men habitually bear wicked and rotten fruit and call it good, while reviling those who hold them to account for their corruptions. They join the ranks of their spiritual fathers; men like Ahab or the Pharisees in Matthew 23 who shut up the kingdom of heaven against men in the name of God, making their converts twice as much sons of hell as themselves.This "video" will provide an in-depth look at this woefully corrupt and menacing network of frauds who actively deceive people in the very name of "discernment" and Christ, something you would expect from Satan himself... and no wonder.
