August’s full moon will peak early Friday morning, August 28. But this is not just any full moon, it will also feature a partial lunar eclipse.

If conditions allow, Mainers will have a chance to see the moon take on a reddish hue overnight Thursday into Friday as Earth’s shadow moves across the lunar surface.
