Review of the Sturdy model 2020 handgun safe - second cut. About 95% was re-shot with better lighting and an actual script, although my narration is still a bit stilted at times. Better editing and more concise, over 4 minutes shorter than the original!
Sturdy discontinued this model shortly after this video was made - BUT - now (08/17) they have an almost identical replacement, the model 2420. Its 4 inches wider, the same height, but 1 inch shallower than this one (which is 20 inches in all 3 dimensions). This too has been discontinued in favor of...
This just in (2/19): Now they've further revised their offerings with the model 2424 (24 inches wide, 24 inches tall, 19 inches deep) as well as a 2 shelf model (3 shelves, including the floor) called the 2436, which is as above but 36 inches high. So now there are TWO pistol safes, as well as their multiple "rifle capable" offerings. You can't go wrong with a Sturdy!
NOTE: Sturdy safe provides a very comprehensive video on how to change the combination on their safes - HOWEVER, for this model - and PRESUMABLY their newer models of pistol-sized safes - the change key MUST be inserted upside down from how it is shown therein. Sturdy informed me of this factoid when I encountered difficulty in changing my combination! Hopefully, they'll update their video soon...
