Rich Goodwin flying another amazing aerobatic stunt display in his modified Pitts S-2SE Biplane, the 'Jet Pitts', G-JPIT, although on this occasion the jets are not fitted as they were temporarily unserviceable. The display here is being flown during the Eastbourne Airshow 2025, on Friday of the four day show.
This biplane was built from scratch over a period of 4 years. It is based on the Pitts S2S Fuselage and incorporates all the tried and tested modifications flying on Richard Goodwins other Pitts S-2S, G-EWIZ. One major difference is the wing which is a unique design by Eddie Saurenman Aero Works. Bigger ailerons and more wing area give a phenomenal roll rate and better low speed handling. In due course it is planned to add a pair of small jet engines to the fuselage sides and to then display the aircraft as the 'Jet Pitts'.
