This week's video shows how I turned and refinished a stunning Cocobolo and Walnut river bowl that was requested by a customer. You can see more of my videos here: youtube.com/@TheMessyStudio/videos.

I created this piece several years ago. I was gifted a large Cocobolo off-cut by Rich Bennett (The Beard x16) and a walnut and resin river off-cut from Doug Moore (The Pohlbarn Productions). I married those pieces together with some Liquid Diamonds and turned the result into a magnificent bowl. I had some finish troubles and refinished it two years later. It's a large piece, measuring 12 5/8" by 3 1/4". The final finish is gloss lacquer.
