diyforknuckleheads.com Setting out the Wall Plates for a Stud Wall. G’day Knuckleheads, Uncle Knackers here. In this Episode we look at setting out our wall plates and cutting the timber for the stud wall frames. Just remember that it's really important to cut your wall studs to the correct height. All stud walls have a bottom plate and a top plate. External walls also have a pitching plate which sits on top of the top plate. Make sure when cutting your studs for your stud wall that you take the thickness of all the plates into consideration. Check it out!
