Dallas was a cool place on Friday night in the summertime, even in the fall. Lot's of snazzy cars cruising around. What was even cooler, video cameras were a new thing back then and to me it was amazing that you could make your own short skits or films. I wish I would have taped more of Forest Lane which was a big cruise strip. There was no really good way to edit them back then but still to get it on tape was good enough. The cameras were smaller than a toaster and weighed only about 5 lbs, so that was a plus as well !!
My cars didn't mind being taped but my girlfriend sure didn't like it, I can tell you that!
