The most popular exterior stucco system is Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS). EIFS is a non-load-bearing cladding system that's applied in multiple layers over exterior sheathing. It's a durable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance option that's become a top choice for both commercial and residential projects.
Hello all if your looking to have the Dry-Vit or Sto system applied to your home or simply wish repairs as we are doing in this video, we have done it many times before.
In fact for years, I had experience in both Dry-Fit and the Stock stucco system.
In this video we show the stucco stucco system which can be accomplished the way were doing it or many other ways.
Keep in mind Sto is a slight bit different than the Dry-vit system which I did for many years.
The system were doing here, has to many benefits to mention here, like less prone to cracking, but most benefits were mentioned in the video.
EIFs sometimes regarded as a “synthetic stucco,” was developed in Germany shortly after WWII and used to retrofit masonry walls. Because it provides continuous insulation, EIFS became popular as a means of retrofitting uninsulated structures.
Stucco has been the time-tested exterior plaster for thousands of years, dating back to Ancient Rome and Greek cultures
Now combine the two EIFS and stucco, you have whats in this video.
Also Jason and I used his “Makita AT2550A Wide Crown Stapler” for attaching the staples as it has an advanced engineered system that will allow it to shoot staples that are two inches in length without busting the Styrofoam, how important is this? Extremely. Its an expensive gun, but worth twice the price for what we were doing.
FYI, we used to be affiliated with Amazon to show the tools were used but the 20 to 30 dollars we so-called earned each month, was’ent worth our time and efforts.
