Exterior Ceiling Lathing, Wrong soffit vents, Two-inch continuous vents required.
Venting for stucco ceilings.
Howdy folks, we arrived on this job site and found that the GC's men attached foundation vents on this ceiling. I have seen this many times.
I called the GC and informed him that it would look foolish to stucco with these vents, as they were not the proper 2-inch continuous vents used for stucco.
When my two sons, Jason and Dan, went back to apply the scratch coat brown and skip trowel texture, Jason removed the foundation vents and installed the correct 2-inch continuous ones.
At the end of this video, you can see the proper ceiling venting for stucco soffits.
