On this sixteenth day of the STS-78 mission, the flight crew, Cmdr. Terence T. Henricks, Pilot Kevin R. Kregel, Payload Cmdr. Susan J. Helms, Mission Specialists Richard M. Linnehan, Charles E. Brady, Jr., and Payload Specialists Jean-Jacques Favier, Ph.D. and Robert B. Thirsk, M.D., are shown continuing their scientific investigations in the Spacelab module. Today's work focuses on how the astronauts' bodies are responding to the microgravity environment after more than two weeks in orbit. The payload crew will continue studies in the adaptation of the neurovestibular system and the musculoskeletal system during spaceflight. Released July 1996.
