The Strymon Ola dBucket Chorus & Vibrato emulates classic 1970s bucket-brigade circuits for three vintage and vibey sounds: single delay-line chorus, a three-phase multi-delay-line chorus and vibrato. You can go subtle or get completely warped by playing with the Tone, Deep, Speed and Mix knobs, as well as shifting between three modes: Normal, Envelope (effect sensitivity is triggered according to your attack) and Ramp (effect rises when you hold down the bypass switch).
“The chorus in normal mode works for any scenario,” says Hayley Briasco (a.k.a. Kim Tee), a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, who is the guitarist for Clairo and Dominic Fike. “But the multi chorus is my favorite setting, because it’s a lot wider and it has more depth. Vibrato in normal mode is timeless. For all three effects, it’s super fun to have the sound triggered by how hard or soft you play. There are a world of possibilities here.”
The Ola is true bypass, and it includes stereo inputs and outputs, so you can immerse yourself in a cinematic panorama of sparkle and wobble. You can also save your favorite preset to astound audiences at future shows.
