Most commercial vehicles, van and camper conversions have limited storage solutions. They often come with the rear of the vehicle completely bare except from the MDF cladding on the inside of the shell.

The Solution

Install X8R’s universal storage shelf in under 10 minutes for a simple storage solution

X8R’s universal storage shelf is the perfect solution for tradespeople, van owners and campers. The shelf comes with colour coded self-tapping screws for an easy installation (no power tools required) in under 10 minutes. All you need is a marker, spirit level and Philips head screwdriver.
The shelf can easily be stacked on the door cards, allowing you to install as many shelves as you wish.

The shelf is made from vacuum formed ABS plastic, making it strong and durable for commercial use. It is the ideal size for tools, consumables, magazines and more. The shelf has the following dimensions:
48cm wide x 13cm high x 10cm deep.

Gears feel like they have shifted over to the left so that 3 & 4 are where 1 & 2 normally sit. Wobbly / loose gear stick. Fault A bush within the gear stick assembly wears causing shifting issues. Within the OEM gear stick shift mechanism is a poor-quality Nylon bush, a ball at the bottom of the shift stick operates within this bush, this is tight friction fit, the Nylon being of poor-quality wears away, allowing excess movement, causing the faults noted above. The solution until now was to replace the whole gear shift unit, not only is this expensive but it would inevitably fail again. Solution Install our new improved design bush and restore sharp gear changes. Fit our improved material and design gear stick bush. Replace the poor-quality OEM bush with our new part at a fraction of the cost of changing the complete gear stick assembly (£300+). This will bring the sharpness back to your gearbox and make driving the vehicle easier and more enjoyable. Our bush is made from a high-quality modified nylon and will not fail like the OEM part. Our part is made in two halves to make installation very easy, please check out our instructions and video. Our part is injection moulded for the perfect finish. This is essential in providing smooth operation and combating wear. Not 3d printed or machined. When opening / closing roof parcel shelf winglets remain in the air and do not fold out / in. Alternatively winglets may function but slowly or erratically. Please check out our video to see the most common symptoms of this fault. The Fault The plastic gear within the parcel shelf winglet motor wears and strips causing roof faults. It is common for the motor which operates the parcel shelf winglets to fail, within this motor is a plastic gear. The gear is made from a poor quality plastic which wears prematurely; stopping the motor from working and causing defects such as the roof not opening or closing- a result of the parcel shelf winglets sticking, not operating or only moving part way. It is rare for any other components in this motor / actuator to fail. The outer worm gear in this module is made of metal and does not fail however this interacts with the plastic gear causing the plastic gears teeth to wear / strip and fail to function. A new motor can be purchased from the vehicle manufacturer, these typically retail for £350+, these are also fitted with the same plastic gear which will fail again. Our CNC Brass gear allows you to replace just the part that fails at a fraction of the cost and permanently fixes the fault. This product is also ideal to fit as a preventative measure as the plastic gear will wear in future and is likely to malfunction at an inconvenient time. Our Solution Install our precision engineered CNC Brass gear and restore your twin top roof operation. Our Brass gear allows you to replace just the component that fails within the parcel shelf winglet motor without the need to replace the whole motor which would just fail again. Our Brass gear replaces the plastic gear that fails. We have matched the material of our gear to function correctly with the existing gear within the motor to ensure smooth life time use. Replacement motors are extremely expensive and are fitted with the same plastic gear which will just fail again. Install our gear at a fraction of the cost and enjoy using your roof again. Our gear is bench tested to 10,000+ motions with no measurable deterioration of our gear or the worm drive, also fitted and field tested ensuring this product means our high quality standards. Install is very simple with the aid of our video and pictorial instructions and the help of our technical team if required. This is a CNC machined part.
