The movie shows the cryogenic-electron microscopy structure of the active state of the thromboxane A2 receptor in complex with the agonist U46619 and coupled to the mini-Gq protein. The thromboxane A2 receptor is an important therapeutic target for the treatment of diseases such as cardiovascular disease and pulmonary arterial hypertension. The structure of the protein will aid in the rational design of novel drugs targeting this receptor.
