These busy Leaf-cutter ants in Deep Blue One have a very important job to do. They use their strong mandibles to cut off parts of the leaf and carry it back to the nest where they use it to farm the fungus that they feed on. These leaves may seem lightweight but they are often 50 times the weight of the ant, which is equivalent to you carrying a van in your teeth!
