Heroism control has lagged just a touch behind Villainy's options for several sets, but LEGENDS OF THE FORCE has brought some powerful new plays at every stage of the game back to the Heroes, paving the way for a return to one of my favorite leaders - Set 1 Luke Skywalker!
And the timing couldn't be better, with the Galactic Championship taking place this week, players will have their long-awaited shot at earning the incredible new SHOWCASE Luke Skywalker (and Darth Vader) from the side event prize wall!
Whether you're picking up a Showcase and looking for something to play him in, or just looking to mix up your control game a bit, I've found this Luke Green Force control deck to stand toe-to-toe with many of the best decks in the metagame, and I hope you enjoy this new take on our Faithful Friend!

I had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview with Xander Tabler, a well known member of the Star Wars Unlimited team at FFG who recently took on the role of the games Organized Play Manager!
In this new role, Xander has a direct hand in the games event planning from the local level to the Galactic Championship, and sets up the prizing the drives so many players to compete. Listen in to hear about his philosophy in the role, lessons learned from past seasons, and plans for the game going into 2026 with new facets like Set Rotation, the Eternal Format, and the Twin Suns Preconstructed Decks!
