Santa Ana winds impacted San Diego for three days April 29-May 1, 2014 with winds 25-30 mph and gusts 40-50 mph, (at 1:42 and 1:57 is an example of the gusts). Temperatures were in the mid 90s, even Downtown San Diego officially had temps over 90 for four days straight. This Santa Ana was very unusual for us here in SD. Normally winds aren't this strong and only last one day, and high temps to the coast last maybe two days. The High Pressure was a little further south and hit San Diego County hard. In the mountains just 30 miles east, the town of Julian officially had wind gusts 97-101 mph.
