NIMO plus! This a a quick look at a Stromberg Carlson Charactron, one of the first tubes used for very early computer graphics work. These work in a very similar manner to the NIMO tube that Fran played around with - shaped electron beams used to generate alphanumeric charcaters, but unlike the NIMO, the chaped beam could be deflected anywhere on the screen. These are very complex, finicky tubes, and I would certainly like to fire it up, but as with so many other super-oddball tubes - no data! So if any of you guys have data, please contact me!
