The most efficient way to strip a medium to large area of topsoil is with the biggest scrapers they make...But this obviously depends on the haul distance.
You see, a pair of 657's push pulling can basically move dirt faster and more efficiently than anything else on the planet, especially if their cycle distance is less than 1000m.
They can pretty much do the entire job without any type of support equipment.
But to be realistic, just because they can drag their own haul roads doesn't mean they should.
Adding a single grader to the operation will definitely make for consistent cycle times as they won't have to slow down for anything.
In this video we don't see a grader cause it was over at the laydown getting serviced.
