A lot of us separate strength and mobility in our practice.
Iβve found that integrating movements like a side kick through brings those qualities together in a more natural way. It invites the body to organize as a whole, rather than focusing on isolated areas.
There is weight shifting through the hands, coordination through the core, and space opening through the hips all at once. It asks for attention, but it also builds it.
Over time, this tends to support a more connected kind of strength. The shoulders feel more stable, the hips move with more freedom, and transitions begin to feel smoother.
It becomes less about adding something extra, and more about how the body moves between shapes.
