Although a Streets of Rage 2 hack featuring the Captain Commando characters already exists, youtube.com/watch?v=LB-ZigLaY_s&t= this is a new hack created by a different team. It features more moves and includes several background music tracks from Captain Commando.

This version features extensive core-level modifications designed to deliver a fresh experience:

* Character Overhaul: The original starting quartet has been replaced by the popular characters Kid, Captain, Mummy, and Ninja.

* Combat System Revamp: A Special Move system has been implemented. By accumulating 20 SP (displayed above the health bar), you can perform a Forward + A special move or a Dash + A special move. Every time you build up 20 SP through attacks, you can trigger these moves, but each use consumes 20 SP, recreating the authentic arcade feel.

* New Final Boss: The final boss has been changed from Shiva to Goenitz from The King of Fighters '96, offering a fresh take on the ultimate showdown.
