The Street Vendors Association Nagaland held an awareness programme on June 25 at Hotel Grand Maspel, addressing extortion, harassment and forceful eviction faced by street vendors in Nagaland.
Chaired by Dr. Subonglemba Aier, General Secretary of the Association, the programme was attended by Special Guests Shekishe Achumi, President of BJP Dimapur Unit, m Shikuto Sema, Vice President of Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President Kughato Zhimo of Street Vendors Association Nagaland and street vendors from Dimapur.
The programme highlighted the need for dignity of labour, safe working environment and decision making rights for street vendors in Nagaland.
