We’ve hit Diamond 5 in Street Fighter 6.
And honestly… as a casual gaming dad with limited time to play, that’s something I’m genuinely proud of.
This video is a quick progress update on the ranked grind, sharing what I’ve learned climbing through the ranks using Ryu on Classic controls — and maybe giving a few tips to other players trying to push their way toward Master Rank.
If you’ve followed the channel, you’ll know this journey started way back in Platinum, with streams and sessions where we were learning the game step by step. Some people probably thought the climb would stop there.
But we kept grinding.
Now we’re sitting at Diamond 5, right on the edge of Master.
In this video I talk about a few non-negotiables for ranked progression, including:
🔥 Why every player needs a reliable anti-air
🔥 Simple combo starters that actually win fights
🔥 Why switching between ranked and casual matches helps improvement
🔥 How muscle memory matters more than fancy combos
And I’ll also be honest about my biggest weakness in Street Fighter 6.
Drive Impact.
For whatever reason, I still struggle reacting to it at this level — and against Diamond and Master players, one missed reaction can cost 40% of your health bar instantly.
So if anyone out there has cracked the secret to reacting to Drive Impact consistently…
