Street Epistemology Survey - 8 of 24 "Someone can be certain something is true yet still be mistaken."
On this episode, Rupert and David chew on #8 of the Street Epistemology survey which is designed to explore our relationship with truth. Number 8 involves how certainty affects the truth of a belief and we go even deeper into how our beliefs affect other people, how our intuitions affect our confidence, the role of our conscience, and how to address a situation in which we or someone else falls victim to certainty in false beliefs. Here it is, number 8 .
SE is a compassionate conversation tool that helps create a space to explore and examine the sufficiency of the reasons, and the reliability of the methods we use, to support a high level of confidence that a belief we hold is true.
Collaborating with Portland based filmmaker Rupert Wild, David "Tex" Venegas discusses with Rupert the results of each of their individual responses to the SE survey.
