Street Epistemology Survey - 10 of 24 "If all members of a society share a belief, they are justified to hold that belief."
On this episode of the podcast, Rupert and David share their thoughts on number 10 of the Street Epistemology survey which is designed to explore our relationship with truth. They examine the justifiability of popularity, what one's parents believe, pragmatism, faith, testability, and accountability. They also discuss the outsider test and the potential costs and benefits of a society holding false beliefs. Let's continue our journey with number 10.
SE is a compassionate conversation tool that helps create a space to explore and examine the sufficiency of the reasons, and the reliability of the methods we use, to support a high level of confidence that a belief we hold is true.
Collaborating with Portland based filmmaker Rupert Wild, David "Tex" Venegas discusses with Rupert the results of each of their individual responses to the SE survey.
