28 years ago my parents and my brother built two buildings using straw bales and concrete. In this video we put a new roof on the straw bale pump house and see how it has stood the test of time.
Ferrocement and straw bales is gaining popularity as it is proving to be a viable and sustainable building method. One other benefit is the low cost of construction.
In these times of high costs, budget friendly construction methods are getting hard to come by. This one fits the bill perfectly.

I want to thank my brother Ivan for funding and spearheading the project.
My sister Domani for taking pictures and bringing us food and doughnuts.
My brother Yone' for supplying me with the data and the older pictures.
Last but not least everyone else that played a part no matter how small in getting this done and keeping my dad off of the roof.
