Twelfth album in the Stratovarius' Discography, Polaris. This was the first album not to feature founding member Timo Tolkki on guitars and instead was replaced with the current guitarist, Matias Kupiainen. Many fans disparage Stratovarius since Tolkki's departure since he was the songwriter for many great classics from their previous records. Even though Tolkki is no longer part of the band, Stratovarius still retains the sound and songwriting that they are known for and manage to breathe new life into the music as many members of the band contribute to the song compositions.
