Start to finish about 100 hours for this traditional watercolor.
In this painting I establish my patterns and values early. Using a #2 brush for the entire painting gives me the opportunity to draw as I paint. I must be critical where my shapes are without any help from a pencil drawing. The fig tree was photographed just after a rain shower making the colors more vibrant. I will be the first to admit this painting was confusing sometimes.
With a slight detour of rebuilding my entire drawing board and a quick trip to the ER Room I finished this painting. Enjoy!
