In Stranger Things Season 5, Episode 5, titled "Shock Jock" (released December 25, 2025), the party orchestrates a high-stakes plan to reconnect Will to the hive mind using a reanimated Demogorgon powered by the local radio station's antenna. While Will successfully infiltrates Vecna’s mind to help Max and Holly escape his mental prison, the connection is ultimately severed when Vecna overpowers him, leaving Will unconscious. Simultaneously, Dustin, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan infiltrate the Upside Down's version of Hawkins Lab, where interpersonal tensions boil over into a physical altercation between Steve and Dustin regarding Eddie Munson’s death.
