In this video I carefully analyze the image quality presented by DLSS and compare it to the native image plus FSR at the corresponding presets. We also go over still images first, and then temporal stability.

Here is the run down:

[1] Do not use FPS priority mode, as it enables the engine resolution scaler. Do not use FSR if at all possible, the quality is very poor in this game.
[2] All DLSS modes have pristine (or close to pristine) temporal stability which is not present in the native resolution. FSR makes temporal shimmering problems worse and more obvious.
[3] All DLSS modes reconstruct fine geometric detail which is not present in the native image.
[4] The game has a bug where DLSS loses temporal stability in the "30 FPS" and "120 FPS" modes really badly. We hope Team Ninja will fix this.
[5] There is little to no difference between all three DLSS presets, even Performance DLSS reconstructs all detail favorably.
[6] On an RTX 3060 it is still not possible to hit locked 120 FPS at 1440p, even with DLSS performance. Geometry optimization in this game is too poor to do so. Your mileage might vary on higher tier RTX cards, but I do not recommend using "120 FPS" mode due to point no. [4].

My recommended settings:

On an RTX 3060 class GPU:
- 1440p Max settings
- DLSS Performance or Balanced (to prevent all drops and stay above 60 fps). DLSS Quality works as well, but expect drops to the upper 50s during glory kills.
- VRAM set to high for 12GB cards, standard for 8 GB.
