It's odd to think back to when I was just his Mexican girlfriend in Colombia. Who would have thought that that boyfriend and girlfriend who were dating in Latin America all those years ago would become married? I was not interested in a long distance relationship so I broke up with Dave and we didn't see each other for 5 years!
Of course we have experienced plenty of cultural differences as a Latina woman and a European. Sometimes Dave says dating a Mexican came with a lot of problems. All these years later, I can say that we make a great combination.
A lot of people have been asking me to tell the story of how we met. I think that it's a very cool love story and I'm very happy to share it with you. I never imagined that I would end up married to an English guy. When we lost contact, I thought our relationship was over but we met again after 5 years apart.
