A conversation with a man who has lived 100 years of Lebanon.
Born in 1926, before Lebanese independence, he takes us through a century of memories — from growing up in Bikfaya when Mount Lebanon was still quiet and largely undeveloped, to education with the Jesuits, becoming a teacher and school director, entering the world of commerce, and witnessing Beirut and Lebanon transform around him.
He remembers a time when people traveled by horse-drawn carriage, when reaching Bikfaya was a journey, and when life, education and business operated very differently from today. He shares stories from his years teaching in Antelias and Sin El Fil, the family business and supermarket they built, the extraordinary commercial life of Beirut, and the difficult years of war that changed everything.
But beyond history, this is a deeply human conversation about longevity, discipline, faith, family, love and loss.
At 100, he still drives, remembers extraordinary details from his past, writes beautiful words about faith and love, speaks tenderly about his late wife, and looks back at his children, career and experiences with gratitude.
His memories are not written in a history book. They are the memories of someone who actually lived through a century of Lebanon.
