Writers need toolboxes to get their work done, and the tools in those boxes should help the writer craft the best work he or she can.
AI is one such resource writers have in their toolboxes to speed up their workflow, using it for research or idea generation, and ChatGPT is the monster in that workspace. But sometimes using AI for this purpose may feel a little dirty, and ChatGPT may not assuage our guilt as well as we might hope.
Fortunately, Claude AI is an alternative chatbot that specializes in analyzing texts and text files, and the closest thing a writer may have to a reputable digital research assistant at 3am since Google.
