This month we're travelling to Ukraine to read The Grain Store by playwright and screenwriter Natal'ya Vorozhbit (Наталія Ворожбит). First performed in 2009 in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company, it deals with the period of the Holodomor or Great Famine in Soviet Ukraine in the 1930s. If was recommended to us by Foxed Folios along with Bad Roads, another play by the same author focused on the conflict since 2014.
