We traveled to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada to help film a documentary on dog sledding in the Arctic... and quickly realized just how brutal and beautiful filming in -41° temperatures can be.
In this behind-the-scenes short doc with Brandon and Kofi, we take you inside the challenges of shooting cinematic footage in extreme cold conditions while documenting a family-owned dog sledding operation passed down through generations. From frozen LCD screens and fogged lenses to chasing the perfect slow-motion shot with the RED Raptor and Nikon ZR, this trip tested both our creativity and our gear.
Along the way, we learned about Arctic culture, filmed breathtaking dog sled sequences, and experienced one of the most unforgettable adventures of our lives in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
