Welcome back to the channel! I recently picked up the SUNLU Filament Connector off Amazon to see if it could help me cut down on waste in the MK6 Printing workshop. This little gadget is designed to splice and join 1.75mm filament ends together, letting you combine leftover scraps into a full, usable spool. It heats up to 240 degrees Celsius and claims to work with PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, PA and Nylon.
But is it actually easy to use, or is it more hassle than it is worth? In this video, I unbox the unit, test it out with the included PTFE sleeves, and give you my completely honest verdict on whether it deserves a spot next to your 3D printer.
